SHAHI COCONUT BREAD
Today I post one of simple and quick Indian Mithai version. Mithai of my family and friends. Name of this recipe is “Shahi Coconut Bread” just like “Shahi Tukra”. Its a simple and quick version of this recipe. Shahi coconut toast is a rich toasted sandwich recipe with a sweet coconut based filling. I’m crazy about coconut and if you’re even a little bit as me, you are going to love this! This bread is so incredibly delicious. One of my favorite sweet breads, if not my favorite. It’s just a great flavor combination. And the texture is amazing. You will want to eat it all the time — it works well for dessert or a snack.
Ingredients:
2 pieces Bread
1/2 cup coconut powder
1/2 cup coconut powder
1/2 cup grated coconut
1 cup desi ghee/oil
1 cup sugar
2 cups water
1 cup desi ghee/oil
1 cup sugar
2 cups water
1/2 cup dry fruits (optional)
Recipe:
- First cut the bread in to 4 pieces and deep fry it.
- Then in another pan add 1 cup sugar and 1 1/2 cup water - dissolve the sugar.
- Now dip the bread in light sugar syrup and coat with coconut powder and grated coconut.
- You can also spread some dry fruits onto it and serve.
Enjoy this crispy and sweet toasted bread recipe as dessert or breakfast.
